Research leader Masumoto will give a lecture at a seminar jointly organized by the Japanese Circulation Society

At the 86th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society to be held online from 11-13 March 2022, Masumoto will give a lecture in a morning seminar sponsored by iHeart Japan Corporation on the future of cardiac regenerative medicine using iPS cells. The discussion will be held together with Professor Minoru Ono of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Tokyo.

Collaborative research agreement has been signed with Stem Cell & Device Laboratory, Inc. (SCAD)

Our laboratory is developing a device (heart-on-a-chip microdevice) to detect human cardiac function with high sensitivity by applying iPS cell technology and Organ-on-a-Chip technology for the purpose of drug discovery research. Collaborative research agreement has been signed with Stem Cell & Device Laboratory, Inc. (SCAD)(Kyoto, Japan) (President: Kensuke Kato) for the aim of establishing a system to detect cardiotoxicity in newly developed drugs.
