The Center organizes the annually held BDR Symposium and a host of other seminars and academic meetings, inviting international scientists in life science and related areas to give talks about their latest research. Most events are open to researchers, including students, at local universities, research institutes and industry. The official language for most academic BDR events is English.

BDR hosts a variety of seminar series featuring speakers from Japan and around the world giving talks on their most recent research and cutting-edge technologies. All talks are in English and open to local scientific communities. Learn more about BDR seminars and other talk series.
The RIKEN BDR Symposium is an annual symposium held every year around March that invites ten or more leading researchers from around the world. It is open to the international scientific community for free. Advanced registration is required to attend.
