BDR is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, and also develops new technologies to advance cutting-edge research. Some of the facilities provide technical support and services for BDR and non-BDR researchers.

Animal Facilities & Research AquariumThe state-of-the-art SPF animal facilities not only caters to the needs of the researchers by generating and housing experimental mice, but also develops novel reproductive engineering techniques and establishes new vertebrate animal models. There is also a research aquarium for breeding and housing aquatic species for research.

MDGRAPE-4

Supercomputer for molecular dynamics simulations “MDGRAPE-4A” Researchers at BDR have been developing the MDGRAPE series of supercomputers built specifically for molecular dynamics simulations. The system's major area of application is for drug discovery and is available for use by internal and external researchers.

Optical Microscopes BDR has a variety of optical microscope systems available for shared use among researchers at the Center. There is also a team of experts with experience in developing microscopy systems on hand that can provide technical support catered to different research purposes.

Proteomics Core FacilityThe Proteomics Core at the Kobe Campus is equipped with the state-of-the-art liquid chromatography mass spectrometry system (nano LC-MS/MS), and the Core's research specialists can provide support for proteomics research.
