細胞は、分子から秩序構造を自己組織化する動的システムと捉えることが出来ます。小さな分子はどのような仕組みで「細胞」という広大な空間を認識し、適時適所で集合・離散しながら、細胞スケールの動的秩序や生命機能を生み出しているのでしょうか?私たちの研究チームは、主に細胞骨格をモデル系として用い、生細胞で観察される動的構造や機能が人工細胞で再現される条件を探るという構成論的手法で、この謎の解明に挑んでいます。分子の局所的な相互作用から、生命が成立する仕組みを紐解くことを目指します。
