当研究室では細胞周りの微小環境を制御した実験プラットフォームを構築することで、創薬や発生メカニズム解明に繋がる生体機能を体外で再現するための研究を行っています。特に気管支にターゲットを当て、あの複雑な形状がどのようにして自律的に形づくることができるのか、実験とモデルをフィードバックしながら体外で人為的に誘導することで明らかにしようとしています。また、組織間の連関が解析可能な臓器チップの開発も同時に行っており、従来の動物実験を凌ぐ実験解析系の構築を目指しています。
