Minoru Takasato awarded Young Scientists' Prize

Laboratory for Human Organogenesis
Team Leader Minoru Takasato of the Laboratory for Human Organogenesis at the RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR) received a commendation for Science and Technology from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at a ceremony held in Tokyo on April 17. Takasato was one of the recipients of The Young Scientists’ Prize, an award recognizing groundbreaking, creative scientific research and achievements made by scientists under the age of 40, for his work on generating three-dimensional kidney organoids from human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.
The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is announced every year and recognizes individuals who have made significant achievements in science and technology in areas of research and public outreach.
