Ichiro Hiratani awarded the Prize for Science and Technology by the MEXT minister

Team Director Ichiro Hiratani of the Laboratory for Developmental Epigenetics at the RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR) was named one of the recipients of this year’s Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. He received the award in the Research Category for his work revealing the regulation of chromosome architecture based on the coupling between three-dimensional genome organization and DNA replication.
